About
Hi, I’m James Prescott. I’m a writer, creative & blogger from Sutton, near London in the UK. I’m a big fan of social media and can be found regularly on Twitter and Facebook, you can also subscribe for regular updates on my blog here.
I’m passionate about both creativity & innovation, to see us all released into becoming the people we were created to be.
I also have a deep desire to has a give people a greater understanding of social media and the digital realm, and I post regularly on these issues both here and at digi-disciple, run by the Big Bible Project.
I’m also a regular contributor to gender debate where I’m a vocal advocate for women in leadership roles and for all people discovering their true identity beyond gender boundaries.
I have guest posted for various blogs, in particular Christine Sine’s Godspace blog. I was also recently a guest poster on Jeff Goins prominent blog on writing & the creative process.
I’m part of the liturgical creative team and leadership community at Vineyard Church Sutton, a community growing together in discovering what it means to do church in a post-modern context.
I was also a contributor to a recent successful compilation book of reflections for Advent, ‘Waiting for the Light – An Advent Devotional’.
I am a self-confessed sci-fi/comic-book film geek, Sherlock fan and an admirer of pretty much anything created by Apple. I love a good read as well as both watching & very occasionally participating in a bit of sport.
The blog
The goal of this blog is to discover what it means to be fully human in the way were designed to be, and what that looks like in the lives we lead – and to explore the issue of social media, and the philosophical issues are surrounding this.
The digital realm and our interactions there are real, and there are many issues and questions around that topic which need to be discussed, which have and will on this blog.
Above all though, I will explore and write honestly about the journey of life. I’ll never be afraid to explore, to ask the difficult questions that we all need to answers to. I want to share from my own journey the questions and issues I’ve encountered that we all face up to, and discuss the questions we often all have, but are afraid to ask.
I want to be free here to explore issues of the faith and the human condition without fear.
Free to doubt. Free to question. Free to discuss, without boundaries or rules.
I may provide some answers, but I also want to help us look for ourselves at the deeper questions. To provoke discussion on what it means to be human and engage with the divine, and how we can make the most of social media and avoid the dangers.
I’d love to hear from you. You’re welcome to comment on my posts and if you want to connect with me you can follow me on Twitter and find me on Facebook, and you can subscribe for regular blog updates here.
Grace and peace,
James
